HOLIDAY STAYCATION TIPS WITH THE KING’S DAUGHTER’S INN: A CHANGE OF SCENERY
Merry Christmas! As 2017 winds down, I don’t know about you, but I am TIRED! I worked the hardest I have worked in my business this year than I have in the past few years and I got to thinking, does anyone else feel like this… you know, coming around the bend, running out of steam, but happy and grateful but no energy to express it (laughing…no I’m chuckling… tired ). I partnered with The King’s Daughters Inn in Durham,NC to explore ways to STAY local and celebrate in style and comfort. In my second installment (read the last post here) of HOLIDAY STAYCATION TIPS I am giving tips to those of use who are empty nesters, busy business owners and those families looking for something different to add to their Christmas memories.
This Christmas, I am sharing tips to make your holiday staycation a great memory by changing the scenery. If you are in and out of town and didn’t have a chance to decorate your house and you look up and it’s Christmas, pull together an intimate friends and family gathering at a local bed and breakfast like The King’s Daughters Inn. A holiday staycation is perfect for empty nesters too! Pack up for a couple of days before Christmas and plan to spend time in a cozy inn. At The King’s Daughters Inn during the holidays, wake up Christmas morning and open gifts in the sitting room of one of their Queen Suites and later enjoy fresh roasted coffee with a delicious breakfast in bed. The King’s Daughters Inn believes in sourcing delicious, local products for their guests to experience.
Remember, relaxation is permissible, take this time to lounge for a while. Coddle yourself in a plush Monarch® microfiber robe and let the day slip away and tap into high speed wireless internet and watch your favorite holiday movies. Another great amenity is the in-house massage therapist will bring the spa to you at the King’s Daughters Inn. Enjoy massage and reflexology services in the comfort of your room. Try to make arrangements more than 1 day in advance especially during the holidays.
Once you’re rested and comfortable, get dressed up and explore your city during the holiday! Sometimes a recharging church service and brunch with a few friends and family is what the doctor ordered. I like wearing traditional Christmas red during the holidays. This Calvin Klein knit dress with studded details is perfect for a Christmas get together. Taking holiday pictures is a great memory maker! The festive holiday decor at the King’s Daughters Inn is festive and reminds me of home.
Remember, at a hotel someone else cooks, cleans and cares for your needs. A holiday staycation is the prefect gift to give yourself and your family. Consider creating a new memory and possibly a tradition of every other year. Check out The King’s Daughters Inn for a quaint, personalized and unique staycation experience!I am excited to launch this new segment to my blog… STAY TUNED FOR MORE TIPS!
