WHAT WOULD APRIL WEAR STREETWEAR
When it comes to streetwear ladies, it is a lot different than the fellas. I love a good streetwear look on a guy, but when it comes to us, we have to do things a little different. Today I am sharing a few tips and items to make your streetwear fashion-forward, cool and comfortable. There’s the idea that streetwear is easy, quick and not fashionable, and that is not the case. It takes a little more effort to “look” streetwear cool. The key to a good streetwear look is to spend a little more money on the basics, pay attention to the details, and look for the fashion elements. Consider designers like Yeezy and Givenchy who pay attention by adding the right amount of fashion attitude to streetwear. However, if your pockets aren’t ready for $300 t-shirts I have a few tips to make your streetwear look designer!
TOPS & OUTERWEAR
I love this simple distressed corset top from TOBI. It can be worn as a long t shirt or alone as a dress. This shirt is so comfortable, mainly because the corset is a faux corset, it ties in the back! I am going to have fun styling this stylish shirt. It can be paired with sneakers, tall boots, heels … I really can’t wait to pair it with my camo jacket, fishnets and combat boots! For $31 this shirt is a streetwear staple!
When you’re looking for streetwear tops with details, good graphics, and great fabric! Classic streetwear tops will come in jersey, chambray, oxford cloth, or twill. My favorite outerwear is leather! However there are a few options to make a great look like: denim, bomber jackets, hoodies and even a great long overcoat in a simple and understated silhouette, perfect for wearing over a hoodie. When it comes to outerwear now the bigger the better. Think baggy and big, loose fit but don’t cheap out on price go for quality!

My go-to streetwear style is a great pair of distressed denim. Whether I buy them distressed or distress them myself, it’s my streetwear signature, rather my uniform paired with a great graphic tee, leather jacket and banging shoes! Some like the comfort of joggers and now they are so fashion forward that when you put them on, they don’t look like you gave up on life but rather you put a little thought into what you are wearing.

SHOES & ACCESSORIES
If you’re a reader of my blog and follower of my social media, you will know I am a sneaker girl at heart! While streetwear is all about the kicks, as a fashion girl I struggle with the debate of heels or sneakers a lot. Most of my decisions are based on comfort and what I will be doing. I found that if you glam up your streetwear sneakers are more than okay. Remember TLC, Aaliyah and some of the great streetwear muses of the 90s? It’s all about your pairing and your shoes and accessories can make or break your streetwear look!
