Trends to Try: Fringe Kimonos
Boho Chic does not describe my style personality, but I am all about wearing what I love, and the fringe kimono is something I am loving this summer. Seen at Cochella or at any outdoor festival this comfy frock is worth a spin in the rotation. Choose one in a whimsical print, embroidered or in a solid color.
Typically the kimonos come in airy woven fabrics trimmed in fringe in romantic colors. The fringe has been seen on the arms as well– too much for me, but great for that SoCal girl. Try wearing the kimono belted over a simple dress. I decided to go casual with cutoff shorts, and a plain tank so that the kimono had a moment.
The fringe kimono is great for the beach too, I will definitely pack this for the beach. This can also work as a lounge look around the house, rather than a ratty robe or gym shorts.
I went for it! Typically I would say this may have been a lot of look. I chose to wear the fringe kimono styled with a small headband with no embellishments. An embellished headband would have been too much. My hair was styled in soft hippie waves using a 1 inch wand. I kept the makeup simple and summer sheer.
