Sheer Style

Ooo La La! I was scared and excited to style this sheer vintage number and I am so glad that I did! The sheer trend has been seen everywhere on the runways for the past couple of years and it’s having a big moment again this spring/summer season.  Designers like Dolce and Gabbana , Christian Dior and Giambattista Valli all have shown this trend paired with the perfect coverage.  This amazing 1970s sheer sequin royal blue dress is an amazing find from Vintage and Charmed in Washington D.C. I paired it with my sequin tam (which gives me all the feels of a vintage piece, but really I found it at the beauty supply store– don’t sleep on the beauty supply store lol)

Now where it got tricky what do you wear under a sheer dress.  This dress is boxy so i belted it with a skinny belt to create a shape. I needed something under the dress to give me coverage, something that was fitted and made the dress look great. I opted for a one piece black bathing suit . You can wear lingerie if you have it but for good coverage and a tasteful look I felt this was a bit better.  Bathing suits come with extra elastic around the seat to keep it in place, which works well for a lot of walking! Another option is a high waisted solid color bikini, fitted slip dress, or biker shorts.  I really loved this look! This dress is my favorite vintage piece so far! GO SHOP AT VINTAGE AND CHARMED! They are having a 50% off sale until the first day of spring, March 20th!

April, you are ROCKING the pieces I sent you! I’m in awe seeing you style these pieces! It’s so exciting to see what you would do differently than myself! I guess that’s why you call it “What would April Wear!” I absolutely love your style and I can’t wait to see what you do with the other pieces!!! We should definitely do this collaboration more often! We’re running a Half Off Sale until March 20th so all of the pieces are Half Off! I’m not sure how you do things. Do you sell the pieces that you style or are they your pieces and your just showing how to style them? So do you just offer style advice or you actually sell? Are people inquiring about the pieces? Not sure how it works, but I just wanted you to style some of my pieces so I could have a following in NC. I really need to come there and do a Pop Up! Let’s discuss the details very soon!

P.S. I also need to get better at IG and Twitter! LOL

    Smooches, Peace & Blessings!!!
